Best football biographies

Got a couple of free tokens to use in audible and fancy a good football biography, any suggestions? Tempted by Peter Crouch's one as he always seems quite funny.

not a biography but i'm reading 'a season with Verona'. it's okay so far - not amazing.
never read Alex Fergusons book - might give that a spin. Pirlo's was a bit boring Zlatans very self indulgent. Di Canio's is decent

Just read Jimmy Armfield’s story and there is a good one about Stuart Imlach, written by his son Garry, which starkly illustrates the the way Football was years ago compared to today.

I doubt they've done an audio version of it but Tim Crane's book 'They Played For John Lyall' is worth £25 of any fan's money. it's brilliant

goose I read A season in Verona many years ago and thought it was a decent read, since then I've always kept an eye on them
Stan Ternent's book is a very good read with some funny anecdotes
I'm currently reading John Sitton's book

Craig Bellamy's autobiography is good. The biography on Carlos Tevez released some years ago is awful and seems factually incorrect.
Bought Peter Crouch's and Jermaine Pennant's last night. Looking forward to those over the weekend.

Currently reading Crouch's one - definitely worth a read.
Would also highly recommend Vinnie Jones' one and Stuart Pearce's 'Psycho' was very good.

"Robert Enke - a life too short" is on audible. A brilliant book, albeit very DARK.
Matt Dickinson's excellent Bobby Moore one is on audible as well.

Not sure about audible but both John Lyalls and Ron Greenwoods are good. West Ham The Managers is excellent and Boys of 86 a good read as are Mark Wards, McAvennies, Cottees and a host of other Hammers. I enjoyed Roy Keanes two actually a very dark dry sense of humour.

Paul McGraths is very good. Very honest. Still baffles me at how he played so well at such a high level being the utter piss head he was.

Bought Geoff Hurst's '1966 and all that' from a charity shop. Interesting facts about the lead up to the final. Bonus is that the grear man has signed it.
